Calusa Garden Club + Friends of the Library = Succulent Dish Garden
Calusa Garden Club of Marco Island member Dale DeFeo is an accomplished expert on horticulture and has instructed members of garden clubs in Florida, Virginia and other states as a National Garden Clubs Horticulture Instructor, Master Judge, Master Landscape Design Consultant, Master Gardening Consultant and Master Environmental Consultant. Marco Island Branch of Collier County Library was fortunate to have DeFeo present a workshop on planting and cultivating a succulent dish garden on Tuesday, January 7th. DeFeo demonstrated and planted a dish garden with colorful succulents for about 27 attendees at Rose Hall at the Library, and as she worked, she gave step-by-step instructions and illustrated the instructions with a PowerPoint presentation. The workshop was supported by Friends of the Library, and the beautiful succulent dish garden that DeFeo planted is on display at the Library.
