It’s about to get loud and festive in Broadway Plaza.

The Broadway Club, a nightclub and bar with live music by cover bands and other entertainment acts, will be opening this month inside the former Corners Tavern at 1342 Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek.

According to The Broadway Club’s website, the venue will feature “a talented collection of musicians, comedians, DJs, bands, thought leaders and more” and have “an electric vibe.” The high ceilings and contemporary roll-up garage doors will be conducive to shows and large private events for up to 400 people, which The Broadway Club plans to host.

Opening weekend will feature Mustache Harbor, a soft rock cover band, on Feb. 21, with tickets priced at $20 per person. The Unauthorized Rolling Stones will play on Feb. 22, and tickets cost $18. Both shows start at 9 p.m. and tickets can be purchased through the website.

No word yet on whether The Broadway Club will serve food, but they will definitely have a full bar with craft cocktails, beer and wine. We’ll post when we get more information.

As we reported last summer, Corners Tavern closed abruptly in July after seven years in Broadway Plaza. Before Corners Tavern, the space belonged to Bing Crosby’s, a restaurant and piano bar.
