2 people dead after shooting at nightclub in Lancaster, officials say - WSOC Charlotte

2 dead, 9 hurt after shooting at club in Lancaster, officials say

LANCASTER, S.C. - Two people are dead and nine others are hurt after a shooting at a club in Lancaster County early Saturday morning, officials said.

The shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. at Old Skool Sports Bar and Grill on Old Charlotte Road near Highway 521, according to authorities. 

Four victims were airlifted to nearby hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this point.

Officials said four other victims were treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

An eleventh victim was hurt after falling when trying to leave the club and was taken to a nearby hospital, officers said.

Authorities said shots were fired inside and outside the packed club.

No arrests have been made at this point.

"This was a violent incident of huge magnitude that was witnessed by lots of people," said Sheriff Barry Faile. "Two people are dead, and many more are seriously injured. The shooter or shooters are out there. We need to talk with everybody who was at the club when the shooting happened, and I encourage those witnesses to contact us immediately so those responsible for these deaths and injuries can be taken into custody."
