Downtown Dallas' Tower Club is strutting new style after redo - The Dallas Morning News

Back in the 1980s one of the places to see and be seen for lunch and after work drinks was the Tower Club.

Located on top of the Thanksgiving Tower on Elm Street, the private club was a hang out for the Hunt brothers who owned the skyscraper and a favorite meeting spot for the downtown business crowd.

This week the 48th floor social and dining haunt is showing off its new look after a multi-million dollar renovation.

The redo includes new dining and lounge spaces, a coworking office, craft coffee bar and a cocktail bar that overlooks the downtown skyline.

"The goal of the reinvention is to enhance every aspect of Club life for our members, from personal to professional, while fostering interaction," Robby Allender, Tower Club general manager, said in a statement. "I think we've succeeded and now offer the most modern and sophisticated lifestyle club in Dallas with innovative amenities and a dynamic calendar of new cultural, social and networking events."

The Tower Club got all new furniture, fixtures and artworks.

There's even a "BigShots Golf Lounge" where players can practice their swing on vitural golf courses from around the world.

The Tower Club is operated by Dallas' ClubCorp.

The Elm Street club is just the latest to get a makeover. The Crescent Club in Uptown and Park Cities Club in Preston Center have also gotten a reboot.
